Video Editing: Astronaut Watch

Most often, I produce my videos from scratch.  But in this case, the Cadence Watch Company sent me some live footage of an interview with one of their experts, demonstrating a rare historic watch.  I edited the footage, added historic photos from the original release of the watch, and put it all together–and I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Video Editing: Think Learn Succeed

Think Learn Succeed had all the elements for this video:  the script, the live footage, the voiceover, and the stock clips.  It was my job to take all those pieces and fit them together into the final video–and to do the green-screen effects along the way.

Incidentally, one of the pieces of stock footage shows a group of professionals around a conference table, against a white background.  In this case, there was a shadow in the background that just wouldn’t go away.  I played around with the levels, and found that underneath that “white backgound,” there was a much more interesting setting, including a big tree outside the conference room window (aka, the shadow).  The client and I both agreed that the conference room looks much more human now than it ever did as a stark white sound stage.
